HALLOWEEN PARTY!!!
We went to a really fun halloween party Friday night!
I decided I wanted us to go as my favorite movie couple:
'The Notebook'.
We had so much fun!
My mom did my hair in pin curls,
and I got most of the stuff from friends and the DI.

What a great weekend!
aunt Natty was in town,
so it was a sister's (and mom, of course) weekend!
Also, we got our family pictures taken!
I'm so excited to send out Christmas cards this year!

A couple of days ago Jensyn came through the door after school and erupted into tears.
crockodile tears.
She told me a girl stole her best friend away.
Now she would have no one to sit by at lunch.
and then she wailed:
"MY LIFE IS CHAAANGING!!!"
{this is where I bit my knuckles trying not to laugh. or cry.}

I wrapped my arms around her and told her
I had a secret about friends:
{be nice}
If you are always nice- you will always have friends.
I reassured her that things would be different tomorrow.

The next day she bounced through the door.
All smiles.
I asked her if she had a better day and who did she sit by at lunch?
(big grin)
"My best friend.
You were right, mom."

(all I could think was this is just. the. beginning.
girl drama.)

1. Canning tomatoes with mom and sis. Thanks for teaching me mom!
2. "My sister's keeper" the movie. So good, but sad. I also really liked the book, even better.
3. It's almost our anniversary! I'm looking forward to our weekend getaway!
4. A routine.
5. 4 games every Saturday. I know. It's a lot, but so fun.
6. I feel Fall coming!

Reid School...Jaxon

Jaxon started 7th grade today!
He has to wear a uniform,
which I'm not sure how he feels about that!

and, as promised,
jaxon with his skateboard...

and the best part of my day:

I found this on my car as I came out of Famous Footwear...

I know I'm not the best driver in the world,
but I thought at least I could park a car,
apparently not.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 2009...

first, the princess.

2nd grade
she picked out this little number
(and I had died and gone to heaven!)

Landon is almost getting too cool for school!

FIFTH GRADE!!
He picked out a pair of shorts just like Shawn's,
you can't really tell but they are brown and white pinstripe...

and then the lincs...Third grade!!!!

He told me about two weeks ago
that his tummy felt funny. I asked him what was wrong
and he said he was just too excited to wear his new clothes!
he just knows how to get to me, this one...

They all love their teachers

and had a great first day!

I think it's going to be a great year.

p.s. Jaxon starts tomorrow.

wheels...finally!!!

so,
some of you know what mean little trick Santa pulled on my boys last year.
He brought them each a brand new skate board.
What's the trick?
It was just the board,
no wheels!
You see Santa knew the boys
and he knew that they would ride the boards in the winter,
and ruin them!
So the master plan was that the parents would buy wheels for birthdays in the spring.
There was only one flaw in the plan:
Wheels are spendy!!!!
well, the waiting ended a couple weeks ago,
and the boys are no longer taunted by that shiny board with no wheels.

And it's made for one heck-of-a fun summer!

p.s. Jaxon got wheels, also.

1. two soccer games today, both wins! Way to go boys!
2. Cutler's cookies. Milk chocolate, of course.
3. Grocery store hair dye. I can cover all my grays in the privacy of my own home! and there are many. (sniff, sniff)
4. races with my sister! (we work at the same company and see who can get done the quickest)
5. Burt's Bees chapstick. smells wonderful and also it's tinted!

I was telling him I can't pick out clothes for him.

He's too picky.

He replied:

If you can buy groceries and clothes at the same place,

I don't want it.

He is a clothes snob!

He just knows my love for Target.
