I got the blues...

Five for Fun...
1. being on the winning team 10-0! The way Lincoln hits the base and swings that bat like nobody's business. At least he doesn't point anymore! and the way Landon catches that ball and throws to first...every time.
2. Shawn not working late tonight.

weekend update

Congratulations Jaxon! He earned his Arrow of Light for scouts,
along with a lot of other awards!
I am so proud of him for working so hard.
I never have to "bug" him about going to scouts!
He loves scouts!

Jensyn also had a friend party on Saturday. I don't have any pictures of this cute party because I left the memory card at home, (aaaahhhh!!!)
It was really fun. She invited 7 of her cute friends and we went to the "Teddy Bear Stuffing Factory" (Build-A-Bear) at Layton Hills mall. They had a blast! She named her cute stuffed kitty "Rosie".

Five for Monday...
1. Mother's Day!! I got some very sweet hand-made cards from the kids. The one from Linc read:
"Happy Momer's Day!" I loved it!

Landon also did a fill-in-the-blank. His read:

2. My mom.
She would do anything for me. She is selfless. She does what she says she is going to do. She taught me right and wrong. I know she loves me. She does many things for me. She can make me laugh like no one else can. She takes such great care of my dad, she spoils him! But she has shown me how to treat my husband (even though I need to work on that!) I could go on, and on! I love you mom!

3. My sisters and my friends for being great moms! You are a great example to me.

4. 4, 5 and 6-year-old girls! We had a ball!!!

5 ABOUT JAXON...

1. He will usually do anything I ask him, right when I ask him. He's very obedient.

2. Everyone who knows Jaxon knows he has a unique sense of humor! He cracks me up all the time... Like father like son!

3. I love how he gets fixated on something and is very passionate about it. It started when he was just a baby with Barney! and then it was business man, coach, ski patrol, the Utes, Zoey 101, and Legos, and scouts to name a few.

4. He has a special bond with Shawn. They get to ride to work/school together every morning and I'm so glad that they have this time together.

5. He's been through a lot in his 11 years and he's a strong kid. He's been resilient to many things in his life. I love him with all my heart.

I hope the next 11 years SLOW DOWN!

I am not a candidate...

I went to a hand surgeon today to get his opinion about my finger. It looks like I am not a surgical candidate (did I want to be? no.) He says that if it gets any worse, he would like to see me again to reevaluate. Good news. I did not want surgery. I'm so glad he was not "operation hungry" and told me the truth. He says the swelling and tenderness will fade with time and it's not likely to get any better. great. let's just hope it doesn't get worse.

so there's my boring update for those who care!

Tuesday Five:
1. Yummy lunch at Olive Garden with sweet Candy! Good food. Good friend. Good fun.
2. Dancing with the Stars 100th Episode. It's funny how excited I am for this show tonight! Julianne and Apollo are back! They are my favorite! Also Maks and Mel B!
3. It's birthday mania around here, Jaxon tomorrow, Jensyn Friday and Landon on the 16th! The birthday plans are underway...
4. Plans for pots. Last year Shawn got me these beautiful pots for mother's day. They were soooo beautiful, I loved them. This year I enlisted Miss Green thumb to help me with mine! I can't wait, I'll post pics when they are done...
5. Good news and bad news. Bad first. Ben's cookie has discontinued their lemon cookie. I know. The good news is they replaced it with a coconut cookie! and I just happen to love coconut! It's super yummy!~

All Aboard!

Saturday night we went to Real Salt Lake vs.
LA Galaxy soccer game!
It was soo fun!
Shawn had this brilliant idea to take the frontrunner
to the game...
it made for quite the adventure!

There's really nothing like seeing Beckham up close and personal!
We had a great time!

Last night was the first baseball game!!
It was soooo cold...
Here are the highlights...

Here's L freezing at short-stop. He's got an arm. He caught the ball and threw to first and got an out! They won 4-0.

I just LOVE watching them play! It was so cold and it didn't even phase them! They are such die hards! They were so excited and had so much fun. I'm so glad they get to be on the same team.

Thursday Five...

1. A sad goodbye to Derek and Shannon. I really liked them and hated to see them go. But I think we'll be seeing more of them together ;o)
2. deep cleaning. I worked my butt off today and even moved our King size bed, just me and Jx.
3. snow again. oh well. maybe we'll get a longer summer. What am I thinking, it's Utah!
4. a really wonderful birthday! Shawn got a really yummy ice cream cake from Cold Stone. It was so delish! (I', so glad calories don't count on your birthday-it's a free day, right?!)
5. Spotted puppy book club. The new book is Maisie Dobbs. It's a mystery. It's awesome! You should check it out at spotted puppy!
