wheels...finally!!!

so,
some of you know what mean little trick Santa pulled on my boys last year.
He brought them each a brand new skate board.
What's the trick?
It was just the board,
no wheels!
You see Santa knew the boys
and he knew that they would ride the boards in the winter,
and ruin them!
So the master plan was that the parents would buy wheels for birthdays in the spring.
There was only one flaw in the plan:
Wheels are spendy!!!!
well, the waiting ended a couple weeks ago,
and the boys are no longer taunted by that shiny board with no wheels.

And it's made for one heck-of-a fun summer!

p.s. Jaxon got wheels, also.
He was MIA during the pictures.

a little time travel anyone?

So, who has read this book:
"The Time Traveler's Wife"
?
?
Please tell me you have...
if not,
you must. (ok, it might not be for everyone, I just remembered this one part)

If you don't read,
GO see the movie!
and if you have read it
GO see the movie
and if you've already seen the movie,
then good job!

I cried.
Shawn cried. (shh don't tell him I told you)
Oh, who am I kidding, he won't care!!

I just need to know if it is as good as I think,
or if it's just because I LOOOOOOOVE
Rachel McAdams?!

I've loved her ever since "The Notebook".
What? You haven't seen it?
It's a must.
It's my #2 movie.

Oh no.
What is my #1 movie you ask?
THE WIZARD OF OZ. Please don't roll your eyes.
(it's very sentimental) and very symbolic I just found out!
And now...Time Traveler's Wife is #3.
*

happy five...
1. two soccer games today, both wins! Way to go boys!
2. Cutler's cookies. Milk chocolate, of course.
3. Grocery store hair dye. I can cover all my grays in the privacy of my own home! and there are many. (sniff, sniff)
4. races with my sister! (we work at the same company and see who can get done the quickest)
5. Burt's Bees chapstick. smells wonderful and also it's tinted!

closer to 40...

happy, happy 3-6

birthday boy!
Shawn blowing out the candles.
note: There are no candles.

two I couldn't decide on,
one goofing off
and one,
just cute...

Here's to 36 more!

quick birthday story:
I was talking to Shawn about what he wanted for his birthday.
I know now, after 14 years, he likes me to get exactly what he asks for,
no deviations.
(I'm more of a thought-that-counts-pick-it-out-yourself-kinda gal
Him, not so much.)
I was telling him I can't pick out clothes for him.
He's too picky.
He replied:
If you can buy groceries and clothes at the same place,
I don't want it.
He is a clothes snob!
He just knows my love for Target.
I love you, babe.
Happy Birthday.

hi.

I just wanted to say
hi.

I want to post.
I really, really do.
I love reading all of your posts.
I really, really do.

Jensy cut her hair
and I must say-
it's cute.
She didn't hesitate
not one bit,
and it was loooong.
but it needed it.
The boys got their hair cut too!
and they are looking very school-ready!
(hip-hip-hooray!)
I promise to post pics tomorrow.

Just so you know, we have been at cherry hill, or our friend's pool,
or soccer games, (yes soccer started right after baseball finished up.)
etc.
This surely explains my absense.

firecracker!

For the 4th of July weekend,Landon had a tournament in Heber/Park City
called the "firecracker"
We decided to make it a camping trip with our friend's the Silverstein's!
Shawn's dad loaned us the fifth wheel again and they brought a 10-man tent!
We had a blast, even though the games were 4/0 :(
but he still played great!

So because Jensyn was so good about attending all the boys games
we had ourselves a plan brewing *insert evil laugh*
We were going to have a tea party and have the boys dress up and hold teddy bears,
and then we decided, even better,
we'll give them a makeover, daddy's included!
This was the highlight of Jensyn's summer!!

a few pics of the weekend...

daddy getting his makeover...

some neat hummingbirds...

check out this babydoll...

Land-0 getting his makeover...

three of the boys post-makeover...
they were such "GREAT SPORTS"
(lincoln threw a fit and hid the entire time,
I'm actually okay with that!)

I just came up for air
for a quick post!
This is one crazy/busy/fun summer!
