the big day...

3 down and 1 to go!
Landon, Lincoln and Jensy started school today.
Jaxon starts next week
after Labor Day

Here they are on the big day!...
4th grade Landon: Mrs. Campbell (his BFF's mom!) and Mrs. Hansen
1st grade Jensy: Mrs. J. Johnson (Lincoln had her last year and loved her)
2nd grade Lincoln: Mrs. Bertram (Landon had her and she's our favorite!)

My Five:
1. A fun day with Jaxon, going to Target and getting Frosty's at Wendy's.
2. Three happy kiddos after school! They had a great day and can't wait for tomorrow!
3. 3 cuties one grade older!
4. One week with Jaxon all to myself!
5. Quiet time to read my book!

The real fun begins one week from tomorrow,
when all are at school...all day!

#22, silly and GOLD!

Jaxon's first football game was last Saturday!
They won 39 to 0.
Jaxon played awesome,
although he was pretty nervous in the beginning...

Jensy and her BFF were being pretty silly today...
and Landon won the gold! (first place in a Striker's tournament!)

My FIVE:
1. Card Friday on a Thursday! We've officially changed to Thursday for the school year. Also, we will be travelling to Park City more often (every other week). I don't mind one bit checking in with the outlets more often!
2. Cleaning out the house for stuff to sell at a yard sale- a great way to dejunk!
3. My sister starting a blog! Now all you have to do is post, Nat!
4. Four more days until school starts, but I'm not counting down or anything ;)
5. A good cry. Because I went here.

day trip!

Yesterday
Kelly and I packed up our *7 kids
and headed to Bear Lake
When we arrived, we heard the kids saying:
This is the best day of my life!
Here are some pictures
taken, not by me,
but by the professional...

(you should have seen Jensyn's face as he got closer...and closer...)
We rented this water trampoline. You can see Jensy in the foreground. She wouldn't go near it.
What did the kids think of the trampoline? Well as we were heading back to the car...freezing... we heard them say: I'm soooo glad that's over!

* It was 7 instead of 8 because Jaxon had football. Unfortunately, he locked himself out of the house and couldn't get his gear and therefore could not go to practice afterall! Poor kid. (But true to Jaxon form, he was negotiating with Shawn that because they didn't get to go, the two of them would go next time. just them. because that would be fair).

I am WHITE...

I love these personality tests.
I have been reading other people's
and I was not planning a post on this,
but I am amazed by how dead-on I think it is!

This is me, to a T, don't you agree?...

Whites (Motive: Peace)
Whites are motivated by Peace. They seek independence and require kindness. They resist confrontation at all costs. To them, feeling good is more important than being good. They are typically quiet by nature, process things very deeply and objectively with great clarity. Of all the colors, whites are the best listeners. They respect people who are direct but recoil from perceived hostility or verbal battle.
Whites need their "alone time" and refuse to be controlled by others.
Whites want to do things their own way and in their own time. They ask little of others and resent others demanding much of them.
Whites are much stronger than people think, but are not often seen for their strength because they don't easily reveal their feelings.
Whites are even-tempered, diplomatic, and the voice of reason; but can also be indecisive, unexpressive, and silently stubborn. When you deal with a WHITE, be kind, accept and support their individuality, and look for non-verbal clues to understand their feelings.

p.s. I did mean to add the link, just didn't get to it,
but here it is!

Auntie Natty...

We are having so much fun with Aunt Natty,
she is a good sport.
She hung out with us on card Friday
and humored us!
We went to Cherry Hill today
and we are setting up her blog tomorrow!
It's so much fun to have family in town!

We kept trying to get a picture of Jensy kissing Natty, but she moved away too fast.

Monday Five:
1. Having my sis here. She lives too far away in Boise.
2. Eating fresh blueberries.
3. Cousins with magic tricks. My kids are amazed!
4. "Momma Mia". Natty and I went last Friday night.
It was AWESOME! (although I think Shawn would have killed me if I took him to it)
5. Sports, sports and now dance! It's not letting up!

cotton candy and cousins!

this post is out of order
(8/01/08)
so while Heather was at girls camp,
I took her kids to Cherry Hill...
their favorite part, I think,
was the cotton candy!...

Brayden and Linc
Stratton and Landon
Jensy
Jaxon and Stratton. (they're not really asleep, just posing), too cute!
We had a great time but we missed Ryanna!
I had to take it easy in the shade,
because this was the night
I would stay up all night
reading Breaking Dawn!

When it rains, it pours on my blog...

speaking of which...
Look who got his braces off!!!

Posted by Picasa

Look who showed up to the party...

Lincoln came running outside
wearing this...

nice.
every mother's dream.

I told him "Lincoln, I'm going to take a picture of you and put it on my blog",
which only made matters worse.
Then the show really began...

Unfortunately, he fits in a little too well.

Between this and him being Dora for halloween when he was 3,
I've got some good blackmail material!

I just couldn't resist...

During our fun ballet shoot
I thought these next few pictures
really captured her personality...

Jensyn.
If you only knew.

Jensina Ballerina...

Jensy June started her dance/ballet class today
she couldn't wait to show me what she had learned
and show me her "prettiest" poses...

I think she might be a natural!

Ballet Five...
1. My 6-year-old girl starting ballet!
2. My 6-year-old girl wearing pink and black.
3. Not believing I have a 6-year-old...girl.
4. Being in awe of her.
5. Relishing the moment.

Oh,
and I want to remember
that her teacher taught her to pretend
that she was wearing a beautiful princess crown
and as she danced
she had to hold her head just right
so the crown wouldn't fall off.

odds and ends...

I haven't posted for a week! That's just unacceptable!
This will be a quick update with pics to come later...

I am quite ready for school to start.
I finished "Breaking Dawn",
I am not ready to publicly express my opinion...yet.

Jaxon started football. He is doing GREAT! I am so proud of him.
One day he said he didn't like it, but that he wasn't going to quit.
The next day he was ecstatic about it again!
I told him to wait until after the season to decide.
He also got his braces off! (pic later) it was too dark and
I've recently learned that the flash is the enemy!

Landon is playing comp. soccer.
He has another tournament next week.
Their last tournament was last week.
They won 2 and lost 2.

Lincoln is enjoying his summer.
He has many friends that keep him busy.
He loves the wii (all the boys do)
He loves having "late nights"!

Jensyn starts ballet/creative dance tomorrow!
She is very excited, as am I.
I hope she likes it, but we'll see.
She's all over the neighborhood, just like I was,
from morning 'til night, playing with friends.

Shawn is busy, busy, busy.
He has been helping with a service project in the ward,
painting,
UPSing,
etc.

We're like two ships...

p.s. Don't hate me but...
I've been watching Sheer Genius! lovin it!
I just can't wait for the Olympics and, of course,
the new season of...quiet please...DANCING WITH THE STARS!
