shout out to The Food Nanny!!
Have you heard of The Food Nanny?
She has a cookbook and a show on KBYU.
Well, she's my favorite and her cookbook has changed my life!
She has theme nights, and awesome (easy) recipes...
so I wanted to share.
For example, tonight was "comfort food"
which is awesome because it's family night and it just fits perfectly.
But I do like to change things up, so tonight we had:
"Bow-Tie Pasta with Cherry Tomatoes and Fresh Basil":
step 1. Cook pasta according to package directions...
step 2. Meanwhile, slice the tomatoes in half and place them in a large skillet. Add the basil, capers (I didn't), oil, garlic, and olives. Set aside while the pasta cooks.

step 3. Drain the pasta. Place the tomatoe mixture over medium-high heat and cook until heated through. Stir in the pasta. Sprinkle on the Parmesan cheese. Add a few shakes of crushed red pepper or pass with the pasta. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve immediately. Serve with Italian or French bread or Garlic bread.
wah-la!
Fancy paper plates you ask? uh-hem...There was a pretty important announcement this evening.

...and a candid of the very, extremely, happy couple!
What a great day/weekend!
I should have taken more pictures
of our fabulous "sisters" weekend.
We had so much fun.
My family is so much fun to be around,
especially when we all get together.
They are my best friends.

(holds up glass)
Jaxon, 9th
Lincoln, 5th
(chuckle) Jensy, 4th
The kids were soo excited to go back to school,
and I was soo nervous for some reason!
Luckily they all had a great day
and said they were going to LOVE school...
(they all got really good teachers)
and Jaxon is loving being back in public school!
I am loving:
a clean, quiet house,
and (of course) having naps again!
