more than just a recipe

rice pudding

1 qt. milk (not skim)

3/4 C. Calrose rice

1 C. sugar

2 tbsp cinnemon

1 dash nutmeg

preheat oven to 350.  Cook for 1-1/2 hours or until rice is tender, stirring every 15 minutes.

My grandma cooked this for me and my sisters to eat after swimming at her house,

along with her homemade noodles, (that I am just beginning to be able to make).

you up for a funny story?

so last night I had had it with the boys. yes, just the boys. they were on one.
Jensyn was off coloring and minding her business.
The three of them were driving me mad!
I finally sent them to bed at 8 o'clock.
I had a meeting at 8:30 and Shawn was going to be late, barely get home in time.
I was threatening to call him, and they were begging me not to!
What they didn't know is that I had already talked to Shawn and told him everything!
So as I was leaving I yelled up the stairs:
"GUESS WHAT YOU GUYS?! I ALREADY TOLD YOUR DAD
AND IF I WERE YOU, I WOULD PRETEND I WAS ASLEEP
OR HE'S GOING TO TALK TO YOU!!!!

Litterally, as I was leaving, Shawn was pulling in the driveway.

When I got home about 10 I asked him how it went and told him the story.

he said they didn't make a peep the whole night!
he thought they were asleep!

(we were giggling about it in bed)
