there aren't many times
when I say "my feet are freeeezing"
that he doesn't jump up and get me some socks
and puts them on my feet.
there aren't many times in the morning
that he doesn't kiss me on the cheek
before he leaves for work
and tucks me back in.
there aren't many times when I text him
to bring me home a diet coke
if he wants to play donkey kong,
that he doesn't come through the door,
diet coke in hand.
there aren't many times
when we go to the movie
that he doesn't head straight for the popcorn
and ask for extra butter.
not many times at all.

That's a sweet "ode to husband" poem. It is nice to have a companion to spoil you a little, isn't it.
Shelbs, I love the way you write! So heart felt and moving.
Your post made me smile.
Shelby, I love hearing how much others love their husbands. Thank you for the sweet post!
Love this post! Funny how we only meet you once but we miss you.
I once was sitting in the back of an Elders Quorum meeting (holding Brodie down after he escaped from nursery) when that sweet hubby of yours made a comment that was along the lines of, "I'm a better man, because she makes me want to be a better man." I was so impressed with his love for you then and still am now.
